Just a quick posty-post.. I need to vent.

Last night, at the CC game, I brought my sister Annie over to see this newborn baby. The baby was being held by the grandmother. The baby's mother (who is 16) was running around the game, as a normal 16 year old should be. Now, I don't judge. Every baby is a gift from God. And part of my going over to see this baby was to show the grandmother that I do not look down on her and that I am excited for any new life. But let's just be honest, a 16 year old as a mother is not the ideal situation. Anyway, I picked Annie up so she could see the baby and I said, "Isn't he tiny!?" She was very cute and was watching him and looking at his little fingers. Then the grandma said, "Yeah, he's tiny. You were never this tiny Annie cuz you're bigger. But, like you, Caroline (DeBoy --who was with us), you were." Meaning, Annie's body type is bigger than most. Annie looked confused and turned to me. I was shocked. WHO. THE F. WOULD SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT! Like there are not enough young girls with "I-don't-look-like-Barbie" complexes out there! I was furious! I wanted to mention the fact that we pride Annie on the fact that she ain't no bastard child. Grrr! But instead I said, "Oh yes she was, Mrs. ___. She was the cutest little baby you've ever seen." And walked away.

Does anyone else feel the same way? I can't stand how early self-consciousness sets in with young girls. And it's no wonder when people say stuff like that. Maybe I am used to all the boys that I am oversensitive..

So, over the summer I was kinda seeing this guy. Mikey called him my sugar daddy. Okay, so did I. He lives in Indy and we met through a friend. REALLY nice guy, treated me incredibly well. Also, he called me baby, princess and girl a lot, something that I had never really experienced before. AND, when I heard Dolores O'Riordan (lead singer of the Cranberries) was going to be in Chicago, he could not go but bought me two tickets and made me promise to find someone else to go with!!! How sweet is that!? (I took Michaela.. more info below). Oh, he's black by the way. And you know the saying, "Once you go black you never go back"? If all black guys treat women the way he treated me, you're dang right I ain't goin' back, mmm-kay?? Haha But honestly, I really will have an expectation on how I will be treated in the future.. it was enlightening! :)

HOWEV, he just wasn't the one so I broke it off. And I could tell he wasn't thrilled but still, he remained cool and agreed to be friends. But now he won't call, I've sent him a couple texts! I'm so bummed! And I feel stupid for throwing something away that was so good! IDIOT! I asked our mutual friend if he was pissed off and she didn't think so, but I feel like a bitch! Oh well, I'll just have to move onto the next homie.

Now, about our Chicago trip to see Dolores: Michaela and I went to mass at St. Mary's and drove up to Chicago on a Sunday. She didn't know many of the songs, so we figured we would make up dances and hand motions to go with the lyrics on the way up there and that maybe it would help us with the words! We were cruisin' up I-65, doing interpretive dances and making quite the scene! Next time you see us together, ask us to do a rendition of "Ordinary Day" or "Animal Instinct". They're quite funny! :)

We got to Chi-town and parked (which was an ordeal in itself) and walked to Navy Pier! Here we are kissing a furry pirate (if I had a nickle, right?)..

And here's the view from the Ferris Wheel..

Here we are getting a quick "session" in with Dr. Bronze (by the way, when we took this picture, we asked some tourist to take it. But then the batteries ran out in my camera, so I made him wait there while Mikey fished out the new ones and I put them in, made sure the camera worked and then said, "Okay! Shoot!" Poor guy!)..

Then we went on the water taxi, which took us right through the middle of chicago to..

The Empire State Building (sorry, you'll have to turn your head..), which had the longest line ever and I kept forgetting what it was called and one time I called it the Twin Towers in front of a large group of people! It was bad..

We did some other stuff too.. walked a million blocks, ate the most uncomfortable comfort food ever, did our (well, Mikey's) make-up at Neiman Marcus, bought a homeless man dinner but never gave it to him, etc.

And then, it was time. For one of the most amazing concerts I have ever been to.. which by the way, was supposed to start at 7pm but did not start until 10:30pm!! And we still had to drive all the way back, but it was okay cuz it was Dolores O'Riordan and she ROCKED OUT!

We ended up pressed up against these two guys (not as good as it sounds.. they were gay, so no luck) in the front row! But there was some drama at the show.. this 21 year old boy was dead set on standing right where we had already planted ourselves and even pinched Mikey to get her out of the way! Then this rude woman next to us was just.. the rudest woman ever! Anyway, it was awesome and we were THE FRONT AND CENTER people by the end, even holding her hand while she sang "Linger"! How cool is that!? Anyway, it was a fun night and I owe it all to my ex-sugar daddy.. I miss you.. my boo.

Skinny Bitch

You HAVE to read this book..

It's called Skinny Bitch and it's amazing! Life changing! Here's why I love it: first of all, it's totally frank. The first couple pages pretty much say, "Quit eating shit you pig and you won't be such a fatass." Helloooo, Dolly! I was hooked! :) But it's not a diet book. It questions what we really think of as healthy. Basically, sitting down to chicken and rice with a salad and milk isn't as healthy as we think. And although the title is Skinny Bitch, the book is about health, not size.

I have lost 16 pounds with Weight Watchers. But this book really instills a complete lifestyle change. I would totally recommend it! Even if you don't adapt everything into your life, it's a great read and gives some good "food" for thought! Haha Pun intended.

Anyway, we are having a Going Away Party for Kristine Keeney! It's Friday at 7pm at our apartment. It is 80's themed and appropriate attire is required. The more the merrier, so stop by! But BYOB, I always end up drinking all the alcohol we buy for parties before the event starts.. Whoops!

This past Sunday we had a Chris Meadows themed party. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

Yeah, I pretty much get tears in my eyes when I look at this and laugh hysterically.
Does that make a me a (soon to be skinny) bitch?
